HERMES JOAQUIM FERREIRA FILHO
25 years of experience in the technology company, mining and steel manufacturing industry. Master from University of São Paulo. Hermes has extensive international experience and worked across many positions within large industries, starting as an operator and becoming CEO at the TECNORED S.A., Technology company of the Vale group.
Development of cold Iron Ore Briquetting Technology together with Vale, currently conducting trials within many globally recognized steel companies. Development of low cost Coal Briquetting for use in Pig Iron manufacture process to replace Metallurgical Coal (Coke).
Obtained the THAI BNDES (Hybrid Innovation Support Bond – Hybrid Title of Innovation Support) in 2018, with 02 projects totalling R$800Mi. Obtained R$550Mi grant money for Tecnored Technology Development with BNDES, FINEP and Embrapii. Prospecting New Tchnologies in more than 60 companies in Brazil , Europe , United States and China in 2019 alone. Participated in the study of Vale’s Nickel Iron Plant expansion project in Sorowako, Indonesia , with a project budget of R$6Bi. Developed projects in the USA, Europe , China and Malaysia , with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology – USA), CSU (China South University – China).

A global executive and leader, skilled in contract management, capital project management, dispute resolution, and compliance, having negotiated and managed highly complex projects and contracts throughout the USA, Europe, and Africa. He has leveraged differentiated legal training (with an in-depth understanding of mitigation, arbitration, and litigation processes) to overcome challenges and risks related to multibillion-dollar project execution, contract administration, and bid evaluations. Regardless of the challenge, Antonie will enter a project, unearth the pain points, and drive toward mutually beneficial outcomes that bring stakeholders together and realign the forward trajectory of the project.
With global experiences in breaking down work related barriers, across different cultures and geographic regions, he will elevate project outcomes and mitigate risks. Antonie presents skills to navigate ambiguity and seek methods to boost collaboration across functions, uncovering pathways to surpass financial targets and foster innovative cultures that remain agile to shifts in the market and project demands.

28 years of experience in the mining industry. A passionate and visionary leader who co-founded AMC Mining and Crushing, a company that provides contract crushing, mining, and associated services across Africa. His mission is to safely deliver world-class solutions to clients, while creating value for stakeholders. Matthew has expertise in mining engineering and project management and fosters a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence at AMC, striving to empower and inspire a team to achieve goals and overcome any challenges through practical implementation of their best efforts.
Matthew recognizes the fundamental importance of responsible Environmental and Corporate Social Governance in developing mineral assets. It is his mission to have a clear understanding of what matters to people on the ground with a goal of ensuring long term sustainability of mining projects.
By engaging with host communities, Matthew will always consider the impact that a large project has on a host communities and treat their needs and with utmost respect, ensure that a clear understanding exists between the host community and project developers and operators.
As the CEO of AMC Mining and Crushing (Americas), he oversees the strategic direction, growth, and performance of the company, in West Africa, North and South America, as well as the development and execution of contracts, projects, and programs. He works closely with clients, partners, and suppliers to establish and maintain long-term relationships, and ensure that high-quality and cost-effective solutions that meet or exceed expectations are delivered at all times.
